Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I love the stylish exterior and it is incredibly fast and fun to drive. It is so compact, the car fits in any size parking space. I also love the incredible amount of storage it has in the trunk more than you would imagine.

DTM is a “touring car” championship featuring cars built to the same specification as GT500, that race within Europe, currently featuring cars from BMW, Audi and Aston Martin, they next race at the Norisring street circuit on July 6th. We are currently a one car family so DH (dear husband) and I have been car browsing for quite a while and recently have been car shopping. We have narrowed it down between a 2017 Jeep Cherokee and 2013 BMW X3. Both have all of the bells and whistles we want, but the Jeep is brand new and about $10k more expensive than the 2013 BMW X3 that we are looking at. We figure that insurance, maintanence,and gas for the Cherokee would be cheaper and it would essentially even out over time anyway. We also plan on keeping this car for DD (dear daughter) to drive in 12ish years so we want something that will last.
They told me that I can install it with the seatbelt method and I just wouldn’t use the base. Apparently it’s just as safe but I’m not sure how comfortable I feel with that. I’m just disappointed because we did a lot of research before deciding on this seat and now I don’t know whether to just send it back.
But why go for the Factory Five kit over another company? Well, how about over 10 years of building and developing experience? Or, the fact that it has its own race series? I think the fact they have over 6,000 happy customers should clinch it for you, but if not, how about the $20,000 kit price?

Put the Defender outboard on passenger side for the teacher to help your son in/out of the car. It’s easy to buckle/unbuckle; by the time school starts, your son may be able to even do it himself! I bought the Peugeot because it was within my price range and is a soft top. Since I cannot afford to buy a bike and all the paraphernalia that goes with it at this time, I figured that a convertible would at least give me some of the fun factor back.
These things can be expected in an older vehicle. But come on, this car is barely five years old! And only three years old when I got it! And it’s German!! Hi! We just had our second baby this week and have unfortunately discovered that when our Chico keyfit 30 (behind passenger side for our newborn ) and FF Graco headwise (behind driver for 3 year old) are installed (putting any of these seats in the middle is impossible, unfortunately, both installed with latch) an adult passenger cannot fit in the middle of both our 08 Honda Civic and 06 BMW X3. We suspected that this would be the case with the civic, but very surprised with the X3 is of course a bigger car and which we use most often and take on longer trips.
For a few years I went on a cruise with a group of highly loyal BMW guys. They are so loyal to the point where they didn invite me this year due to the fact I bought a model 3. Wouldn even give driving it a chance. Guy from Norway that makes the drive each year: “EV are so bland and boring, they aren drivers cars. They are so highly incentivised in Norway, no taxes, no vat, no toll fees and free parking. We are a dying breed, we better keep going until white men with collars lock us up.”

It’s a small car. I went from a sports car to a Mini, which to me was a big jump in size. A lot of people complain that these cars have very little storage space. It’s not meant to be a family car, it’s meant to be a fun car that can barely fit four people. I can hold a lot in my car, it just requires a bit of effort. However, the more expensive models have more space.

Thank you for pointing this out, had it fail on my last BMW right after warranty expired. The cost to fix was so bad it became the down payment on my model S at the time. Convinced my wife to dump her Jeep and we now left ICE behind never going back. Everyone says I’m crazy and instantly defends BMW when I mention this to them. It’s like they make their stuff designed to fail. I get so sick of hearing how their motor will last forever when it’s all the little things that’s around it that will cause you to go broke sans warranty.
In places they literally have stated they are cheapening materials. For example the F10 using steel vs aluminum in the chassis. Cheaper but more weight. You also are correct but more Inline with my thinking. For example the ZF8 transmission is in every bmw in the line up from suv to M5. It’s a nice commuter transmission but doesn’t have any business being in the M5 IMO. But bmw made ZFs biggest transmission purchase in the companies history to you can imagine the discount on a per unit basis for that.

Oh, no problem. I just turned 52. I co owned the first place with another person (generally not a good idea, btw, but it did work out for us,) back when I was early 30s. That particular one neither of us lived in, we just rented it out, then sold it 6 7 years later for a lot more. After that, I rented for another 5 years, as I had cheap rent. Then I bought a foreclosure for next to nothing in yet another city. Again, it was the situation at the time. It was so much cheaper than renting then that it made no sense to rent. Then I moved for a job in San Diego. The rent there was ridiculous, but prices were not that bad, so I bought again and owned two small condos in two different cities at the same time. Then my job moved, so I sold the San Diego condo for a good profit and am now living in the other one (Phoenix.) The market is really taking off here, so in about a year, I sell this place too, hopefully for close to 3X what I paid, and just go back to renting for a while. To answer your “how did I buy” question, the first place was a traditional mortgage with 20% down. The foreclosure was cash. The third place was again traditional mortgage with 20% down.
IMO, in equal cars they are def not by a mile (both not figuratively, and def not literally). VER, BOT, and, hopefully sooner rather than later, LEC would be well within 1 mile. Now, as far as experience, yes, these are the most experienced drivers. The con to experience is that it comes with age.
The new cars that came out around that time never really got me fizzing the same way those ones did because they were just so far out of reach for a high school kid. I mean I liked looking at them and reading about them, but the ones that stuck with me are the ones that I see for sale for a few grand more than I had and made me think about asking my boss for some more hours, even though that would left me no time to drive the thing.

I have a Marathon 70 a roundabout 50 and I had a classic MA (its now expired it got lots of loving) I love my britax seats. The new seats should fit great in the smaller car, the new ones sit slightly different and the shell is slightly shorter, so it takes up a little less room when rear facing then the older seats. Just note the seat has two down sides it more then likely will not be your last seat before a traditional booster and if you want to ERF for a long time its not the best choice. However if you keep that in mind its not a bad choice.
