High resale value. A Mini brand car has a pretty good resale value, assuming the car is in great shape and has no problems with it. If and when you decide to get rid of your car, you will earn more back than what you would with other vehicles. I tend to change cars every five years, and while I may not with my Mini, having a high trade in value is definitely a bonus.

I not found the magic consolidated app or map. In the midwest we have Greenlots showing up at BP stations, EV Connect in some Public Garages, and other locally based rideshare systems like BlueIndy which also allow for charger accounts (you can park and charge in open spaces). You might also look to see where your local government fleets are parking often, these vehicles have chargers in garages that are also accessible to the public.

This is my personal favorite vintage motorcycle. It may not be a speed demon, but it is a reliable workhorse. These bikes were made from 1960 1969. BMWs of this era were probably the best touring bikes available at the time. Many accessories were available including fairings, oversized fuel tanks, and luggage. Countless miles have been put on R60/2s, and they just keep going. The shaft final drive was quite unusual for its day, though not uncommon today. Parts availability for BMW motorcycles is generally good compared to more rare machines. These bikes are not too difficult to find today. I hope to own one myself someday.
For the sliding it to another point thing. In my mom’s accord, the place on the vehicle seat track where I could fit the D ring was a few inches toward the front of the vehicle. Once I got the strap threaded through, I was able to slide it further back towards the end of the seat track. There wasn’t enough space to thread the D ring at that point, but there was enough room for the strap portion to slide in between the track and the vehicle there.
Time to crimp it all together! With the Ford plug all the wire colors match correctly, and the heating wires have no polarity so it does not matter how you connect those. White to white, black to black, and gray to gray. I used vise grips to crimp them and standard butt connectors like I listed above, but if you’re baller status and care about the car you’re working on, use the heat shrink connectors and a wire crimp tool.11 months ago

Since the Cellini collection is the simplest in terms of design and function of all the Rolex watches, the hand winding befits this classical image. I admit that I see an obvious paradox and somewhat of an incoherence in having a classically simple timepiece with a quartz movement, which is usually associated with cheaper watches or fakes. So I hate to do this because I tried to use this exact argument as to how it not so much Tesla leading the charge into a BEV future, but governments, but so far (unless something had changed in the past 6 months) none of those countries have any sort of signed and ratified legislation those dates are just promises/pledges. Maybe they will happen, maybe they won It likely depend on the feasibility of actually banning ICE/PHEV vehicles at the time. I suspect those who set 2025 dates will push those back. I suspect those who set 2040 dates might be ok. That said, 20 years of more PHEV and less pure ICE is absolutely a good step and absolutely part of the solutions.

Since trying an electric car in 2013 (a Smart ED of all things) I have never looked back. I am on my 6th electric car now, a Tesla Model S P100D. All the gas cars feel like a different century to me. Nostalgic antiques like steam trains, fax machines, and AOL. Huffing and puffing with all the heat and noise. A Rube Goldberg machine that wastes a lot of resources. It’s not just Tesla. I felt the same way about the Smart ED and our BMW i3. Tesla has just taken it the furthest without the legacy of 100 years of history and existing encumbrances. A true disruptor.
In many ways, it feels like a prototype. If you more like a pioneer, you love this. However that being said, I would recommend buying used with a decent amount of original warranty miles remaining. I don believe my trusty independent BMW shop is able to service so you going to be stuck with the dealer rates and attitudes. In that light, I be careful with the extent of coding on your own just so that you don void a warranty.
With BMWs unless you want to play the repair game (DIY as much as possible, save up for catastrophic repairs), it best to budget accordingly, and look for a lease or used car with a third party warranty. A Civic is a small, reliable vehicle. One of my biggest complaints with small cars up until the late 2000 was that everyone assumed that you wanted a bare bones vehicle. If you look at my post history, for example, we have a Mazda3s Grand Touring, and an Acura TSX. We want small cars that are easy to park, relatively inexpensive to maintain, etc. but that have nice features like upgraded stereo systems with Bluetooth, leather, blind spot monitoring, a quieter ride, keyless entry and start, etc. It relatively light, so it easier on the brakes and tires which last longer than if I bought something bigger, we almost always are in the car alone, or with one another. Very rarely, we will have a 3rd and/or a 4th passenger, which our cars do just fine for the once in a blue moon that someone does actually use the back seat.
If you have music files on your phone, those can be played using the Sync system. Your selection would be “bluetooth audio”. I have used this feature before and using the voice commands to do so are virtually useless. The dash screen doesn’t help either. I have found the only way I can play music from my phone is to select bluetooth audio from the dash screen which will open your windows media player on your phone and then manually starting the playlist from the phone itself.

I think that it also a bargain on the used market, because if you to to subreddits like /r/frugal everyone just blindly parrots “buy a Honda or Toyota.” Which means that on the used market, you artificially paying more because of the fierce competition. I happily buy a Fusion or a Mazda6. In fact, 3 years ago, I almost listened to the advice. I went and test drove the 1 size smaller vehicles. The Civic was bleh. The Corolla was double bleh. I strongly considered the Focus, but would have had to step back to a 2005 2010 to avoid the Focus PowerShift transmission. So I decided on a Mazda3 instead.

That planted the seed of my interest and I was fascinated by them, and just learned as much as I could. You will have a CPO warranty for a while but things seem to start going very wrong after the first 3 4 years. My car was often at the dealer for things such as faulty electronics, leaks, broken sway bars. The repairs only costed me time but it would been expensive after the CPO warranty expires.
